El Diez, an Argentinian restaurant nestled in the heart of Playa del Carmen, impresses with a diverse menu that appeals to both families and food enthusiasts alike. Diners rave about the rich flavors of the lasagna and the succulent sirloin steak, proving that this establishment does not shy away from serving hearty, satisfying meals. The casual ambiance, enhanced by friendly service, makes it a welcoming spot for both locals and tourists. One of the standout features is the quintessential Argentinian empanadas, acclaimed for their delightful fillings. Guests also recommend pairing their meals with one of the crafted cocktails, particularly the refreshing mojito, made with real sugar and lemon. For dessert enthusiasts, the cheesecake and flan are must-tries that leave a lasting impression. While overall experiences are positive, some reviewers noted inconsistencies, particularly with burger doneness and pizza preparation. Yet, the attentive staff, especially a commendable server named Ana, contribute significantly to a pleasant dining experience. In essence, El Diez emerges as a charming destination for Argentinian fare, where cherished flavors meet a vibrant atmosphere. Its reputation is solidified by a solid commitment to great service and unforgettable dishes, enticing patrons to return for more. Don't miss the chance to savor its culinary offerings while soaking in the lively ambiance of Playa del Carmen.

This restaurant has a very wide menu my kids asked for pizza which I tried and was very delicious. My wife and I ordered lasagna and I ordered the sirloin steak which I absolutely loved. I recommend you to have lunch or dinner at this place Remember to save space for dessert the cheesecake and Flan were very good.

Big shout to the mojito. As a former bartender I loved this mojito. Made of real sugar and lemon. This place is amazing. The host is a girl so nice and friendly. The waiters and the food were also amazing. I highly recommend this place. Is my third time here. I’ve eating a lot in playa del Carmen in a lot of places. Some more famous and expensive. This one was my favorite. If you are hangover try The meat soup.

Tender medallion (550 MXN) with grilled vegetables (on picture), good portions sizes. Food was not spicy, but right for Europeans. Side plate with different Salsas(4x) let's you spice it to your preference. Would love to come again.

This is a review comprising of 4 separate visits. Empanadas are amazing. I’ve had beef, beef and cheese, chicken. All great options. The steak was so good on my first night I had to come back with friends and try more food. Drinks were outstanding I’ve had cucumfresh, mexcalita melon (personal fave), pinata, Hawaiian. I recommend all. Oh the drinks are 2 for 1 Now on the last few occasions. The burger was dry and overcooked. Only came with a hand full of fries. They’re just potatoes don’t understand the small portion. I’d try a salmon! Muy bueno. The pizza was undercooked with barely melted cheese and it took a while to come out maybe 35mins.... I try to give Grace because kitchens take time... just a little worried about pizza timing. Hopefully your experience will be different. My servers were very attentive!! Shoutout to Ana! (As with most restaurants on 5th be wary of the people, children, and musicians who walk into the restaurant begging for money or selling flowers/songs.) Overall, I will be back!

This restaurant is an absolute must-visit if you love steak. I had probably the best steak of my life at this restaurant the day before yesterday. It's a medium sized venue at the end of the fifth avenue, so away from most of the noise and the fuss. The employees are very friendly and assure you have the best time by constantly peeking over to see if you need anything. I had the New York XXL steak (700 gr for 900 pesos) and I loved it. Asked for a medium and got a perfectly cooked medium rare, with a hot plate to cook it further to my liking. After, it was cooked beautifully and hot until the last bite.

It reminded me of Santee Street located in Downtown Los Angeles. The only difference is you experience a nice ocean breeze here. Playa Del Carmen has an amazing charm. And the food was delicious.

We had a wonderful time. Excellent service and great food. Very good “house” Malbec and, after a little instruction, they made a pretty good slightly “dirty” vodka martini. Also. A wonderful spot to enjoy the 3 ring, circus sideshow that is 5th street. If there is one thing all of the more fine dining restaurants along 5th should do is; don’t let the incredibly annoying beggars or “performers” bother the people dining. Yeah...they all need to make a living but I assure you; those of us who actually live here do not appreciate paying a lot of money for a nice dinner and be blasted by them. My 2 pesos Great T.
